Specs
Artworks have to be submitted in CMYK, DIN A4 format, upright, with extra 3mm trim on all sides.
The submitted format of the artwork is hence 216x303mm.
DO
Dreams come in many forms but I want it to give the “admirer” a happy and warm feeling. It can be a childhood dream, dream about the future, or a day dream. Melancholy and abit of mystery is fine.
Some tags that describe my vision for this Zine are: Inspiration, hope, pretty, cute, harmony, peaceful, pastel, fantasy, happiness.
You can pick or mix these tags.
DON'Ts
R18+, NSFW, dark and gory things, in general nothing extreme (no nightmares please).
It should be something people of all age can enjoy.
No FANART or comic strips either and no texts that distracts from the artwork itself. I do not wish this non/profit project to be subject to any copyright infringement!
Also please do not use old artworks created before this Zine Application or too many flashy, contrasting and intense colors in your Artwork! The colors should not pierce right through my eyes when I look at your artwork ;)
WiPs
You are encourage to post WiPs on social media but pls do not post full view WiPs to keep the exclusiveness to the zine. Post only cutouts and if possible tag any social media related to this project (Twitter, Website) to spread the word :)

FAQs
Can I submit more than one illustration?
If you are chosen as a featured artist, yes definitely. You can submit two artworks, one will be guaranteed to be in the physical zine, the second is guaranteed to be in the digital zine. In case another artist drop out in the middle I might choose your second artwork to be in the physical zine as well.
Can I sell my artwork after this project?
Yes ofc! I will hold no rights to your artworks except for being allowed to publish and distribute them for this zine. You can ofc sell your artwork, but out of respect, it would be nice if you do so after the shipment of the orders are out so that the project can still benefit from the exclusiveness! You can tell me if you would like to sell your art and I will contact you once we can get the Zine orders out so it won’t clash :)
What do contributors get out of this? How will they get compensated.
Nothing, materialistically speaking, but a bit of happiness and content with yourself maybe that you might be able to impact someone else’s life with your artwork along with other great artists. I know free art isn't what we artists like to hear but since this is aimed to be non-profit and we will donate the profit, I will be careful with where we donate to so that we can be sure we really did impact some child out there. Also, as a contributor you can purchase a copy at production cost if you wish to help financing this project or get a free copy later on if we surpass our target. Maybe we can even reach out to our beneficiaries. I will definitely keep you updated on social media about this!
What kind of artist/artworks are you looking for?
I am looking for artists of any style with a bit of love for details and who are willing to draw more than just a headshot of a Character. I appreciate a lot if you want to participate for the sake of contributing to a good cause but I am also hoping this zine will be full of arts where you can see the artists dedication and love for arts and something that fits the theme. Your style does not have to be fancy, it could be also really simple but it should give me a good feeling looking at it and not just a white background drop. So, nothing too plain, a bit of details and a background should do it! On the other hand, you can also illustrate landscapes. In this case, I do want to see good color compositions or details!
What about the waitlist?
I will choose some people for the waiting list and as jokers in the case someone drops out last minute. Please indicate in the application if you could and would like to sub in last minute if a spot is free. If you get waitlisted, you can submit an artwork even if no spots open up and I will include your artwork in the digital version if you wish to!
Important for Artists
Stick to the requirements I have set as much as possible. If anything seems wrong we can talk about it, anytime.
Adhere to the Deadlines. I am a careful planner, but I am also a busy person, not knowing what could suddenly be next in the middle of my schedule. If you have sudden time problems make sure to inform me immediately so we can arrange things and make it work in another way.
If you do not submit WiPs and do not respond within a certain time frame or do not adhere to requirements, I have the right to remove you from this project.
Dropping out is possible and I am understanding. If you feel like this is not for you after all or you really can’t make it, please give me a heads up in time. Your art will ofc then be removed from this project if you wish. BUT: Once it is already used and at printing stage, there is no way to take it out or stop distributing the zine with your art anymore.
